The floor check before service should be boring in the best way. Tables, walkways, menus, water stations, and the first booking notes all need to be easy to read at a glance.
Start with movement. Walk the path from the entrance to the first tables and remove anything that slows the first greeting.
Then check the small things guests notice early: menu condition, table wobble, lighting, and where staff naturally pause.
